West Bengal: Police arrest accused in rape – murder of Kolkata Doctor | WION
Following the reported rape and murder of a female doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, junior physicians and medical workers throughout the State have gone on massive demonstrations.
This comes after Sanjay Roy, a volunteer for the community, was detained early on Saturday in relation to the case. After being presented in front of a city court, the accused was given a 10-day police detention remand.
