Rohingya caught in Myanmar conflict as they await crossing to Bangladesh amid deadly drone strikes
Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar are trapped in escalating conflicts between the military and the Arakan Army, a rebel group seeking autonomy for Rakhine State. Both sides are accused of committing atrocities against the Rohingya, with many forced to flee to Bangladesh, often under deadly drone strikes. Without legal refugee status, those who survive face an uncertain future. Bangladesh, already hosting over a million Rohingya, struggles with the influx and has closed its borders to new refugees, citing economic and security concerns. The international community is being urged to intervene.
