Gendelman: We will respond with excessive force against any attacks from Lebanon
Speaking to reporters in Tel Aviv, Israeli government spokesman Ofir Gendelman has given an update on the fighting in Lebanon and Gaza.
Here are his translated comments:
We have managed to kill some people from Hezbollah who were attempting to attack our citizens and villages in the north.
The Israeli army is ready … not only in the south (Gaza) but on the northern front (in Lebanon) as well.
We will reply with excessive force towards any aggression coming from the Lebanese territories.
Our forces have targeted hundreds of locations across the Gaza Strip, and are now particularly targeting spots in Khan Younis (southern Gaza).
The war in Gaza will continue until we have managed to destroy Hamas and to get all the captives back.
