Many expected Safieddine to replace Nasrallah as Hezbollah chief: AJE correspondent
Al Jazeera’s Laura Khan reports from Beirut, Lebanon. She says that Hezbollah has not put out a statement yet to say whether Hashem Safieddine was even there when the bombing took place on October 4, or whether he has been killed. She added that they did say, in a statement a couple of weeks ago, that they hadn’t seen him since that time. Khan says that it’s important to say just how important Hashem Safieddine is in Hezbollah.
