Dark Comets May Be Hiding in Solar System | WION Podcast
A recent study by the University of Michigan suggests that up to 60% of near-Earth objects may be dark comets, not just asteroids. These dark comets, thought to have originated from the asteroid belt or the Jupiter family of comets, may contain or once contained ice. Researchers believe these objects could be an additional pathway through which ice, and possibly water, was delivered to Earth, though the exact origins of Earth’s water remain uncertain.
