Israel, Hezbollah embroiled in tit-for-tat attacks
Outgoing Israeli artillery fire was directed towards the Lebanese side. Throughout the day, tit-for-tat exchanges unfolded, with Hezbollah firing across the border and Israel responding with artillery.
Further down the border, towards the east and Galilee, rockets were intercepted, including two in Shlomi. This context explains the evacuation of all towns along the border as mandated by the Israeli government.
The area is sparsely populated, resembling a ghost town.
