Turkey’s election authority reinstates pro-Kurdish mayoral election winner
A pro-Kurdish politician in eastern Turkiye has had his victory in this week’s local elections restored.
The city’s elections board had refused to certify his mayoral win, sparking days of protests, and dozens of arrests.
