Israeli military claims to have found long tunnel under al-Shifa Hospital
Israel’s military insists that Hamas fighters were using the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza as a command centre.
But videos produced from the compound have not been able to definitively prove that.
Hospitals are protected under international humanitarian law, and any attack on them constitutes a potential war crime.
But, they lose that protection if they are used to launch attacks or to hide healthy soldiers.
