Dutch defence minister calls for an immediate end to Rafah offensive
Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren told Al Jazeera that the offensive in Rafah must stop immediately and called for an immediate ceasefire. Speaking from Singapore at the Shangri-la Dialogue, Ollongren supported President Biden’s proposals as a basis for peace, asserting that the Gaza conflict cannot be resolved militarily and emphasising the necessity of a two-state solution. She confirmed that the Netherlands has not transferred F-35 parts to Israel since a court ruling in February and noted the ongoing legal appeal, stating that the Dutch government complies with the ruling while awaiting further court decisions.
