Tens of thousands again march in London calling for Gaza ceasefire
On Saturday, tens of thousands of demonstrators marched through central London, waving Palestinian flags and holding placards saying “Ceasefire now”, “End genocide” and the popular Palestinian slogan: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
The pro-Palestinian protest filled the streets from Russell Square to the Houses of Parliament. It took about 90 minutes for the demonstration to pass by a smaller group of less than 100 pro-Israel supporters, who played dance music and waved Israeli and British flags.
The march comes as the UK gears up for next month’s general election. And campaigners say the war in Gaza will affect the vote
