Aftermath of Israeli air strike on Gaza’s al-Tabin school: Destruction, grief and desperation
On Saturday, an Israeli air strike on al-Tabin School in Gaza City killed over 100 Palestinians, marking the eighth time this month that Israel has bombed a school sheltering displaced people.
In the aftermath, the school’s prayer room, where civilians were offering Dawn Prayers, was left in ruins, with blood, clothes, and body parts scattered as families searched for their loved ones.
The school’s mosque was also hit, with a missile piercing the roof and killing or injuring dozens of women praying below. Despite the ongoing danger and the horrific scenes, many families have returned to the school, having nowhere else to go.
Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif reports from the scene.
