Biden aims to see a change in the current situation: Marwan Bishara
Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst Marwan Bishara discussed recent shifts in Biden’s stance. He highlighted that Biden’s tone has recently changed, previously associating himself with a ‘Zionist’ perspective and expressing support for Israel. Additionally, he suggested that Biden is now accusing Netanyahu’s government, possibly under global pressure. Bishara argued that Biden does not seem pleased with Netanyahu’s war formation and is urging him to make adjustments. Further, Bishara predicted that Biden, despite not pursuing a peaceful approach, aims to see a change in the current situation. He cast doubt on Israel’s intentions regarding the administrative and military measures against Hamas. On the matter, Bishara noted that Biden is more popular and has greater credibility in Israel than Netanyahu. This time, Bishara believes Biden is leveraging his position to bring about change.
