Chibok’s kidnapped schoolgirls: 10th anniversary of Boko Haram attack

It’s 10 years to the day since 276 schoolgirls were kidnapped from their school in northern Nigeria.
Dozens of the girls remain missing after their abduction by Boko Haram fighters.
No one has ever been charged for the crime which made headlines worldwide.
The anniversary is being commemorated in the town of Chibok.

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris has more from Chibok, Nigeria.

Jumo Ayandele is a visiting professor at New York University and Senior Nigeria Advisor for the Armed Conflict and Location & Event Data project (ACLED).
She says the Nigerian government could have done more to secure the release of the missing girls.
