Gaza children recovering from bomb injuries receive medical treatment in South Carolina
Children from Gaza, recovering from severe injuries sustained during Israeli bombings, are receiving medical care in Greenville, South Carolina. Ayham Mosallam, whose leg was shattered, is undergoing surgeries to regain full mobility. His brother Ismail is relieved by Ayham’s progress, although more surgeries are still required. Zaina Abuajwa, another survivor, recalls being trapped under rubble, fearing for her brother Adam, who is now also in Greenville. Adam is alive, undergoing physical therapy for his broken and burned legs. The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund has transported 232 children like them for medical care abroad.
Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Greenville in South Carolina.
