Houthis ‘well-prepared for a long war’ with Israel: Analysis
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Yemen’s Houthi rebels will pay a heavy price for an attack on Israeli soil.
The group says it fired a hypersonic ballistic missile that evaded Israel’s early air defence system.
The Israeli army says the projectile crossed from the east and exploded mid-air, close to the international airport near Tel Aviv.
Israel says no one was seriously injured in the attack.
The Houthis say the new hypersonic ballistic missile was painted with a Palestinian keffiyeh, or scarf.
The group says it was targeting a military position in the Jaffa area.
Hussain al-Bukhaiti is a pro-Houthi Journalist and Political Analyst.
He says the missile fired into Israel was built in Yemen, and not supplied by another country such as Iran.
