Israel braces for potential attack after Iranian consulate strike
The general feeling in Israel is that something is coming, that it could be significant, and that it’s something that will most likely come from Iran.
Iran earlier this week promised to retaliate for the consulate building attack and Israel called up air defence reservists, cancelled leave for combat units and started jamming GPS across the country.
Since then, no public measures have been taken, but the general mood is one of anxious expectation, with the head of the Israeli military intelligence saying he wasn’t sure that the worst was behind them.
The general mood in Israel echoes the one after October 7, when everybody was on edge.
