Israel-Hamas War LIVE: Israel asks Hamas names of hostages still alive for deal on new ceasefire
In order to negotiate a fresh truce, mediators and Hamas have traveled to Cairo, the capital of Egypt. However, prior to their arrival, Israel is reportedly requesting confirmation of the whereabouts of the captives. According to an anonymous US official, Israel has "more or less accepted" the agreement. However, according to Israeli media, Israel will not be there since Hamas is refusing to reveal which of its hostages are still alive.
