Missiles shot from Gaza hit an urban area in the southern coastal city of Ashkelon, Israel, on Tuesday (November 14) afternoon, two of which struck inside the city.
One of the missiles exploded near a building, causing damage to the structure, according to a Reuters witness. Two men reportedly suffered minor injuries.
Israel vowed to wipe out Hamas after the militant group’s fighters burst across the fence around the enclave and rampaged through Israeli towns killing civilians on Oct. 7. Israel says 1,200 people were killed and around 240 were taken back to Gaza as hostages in the deadliest day of its 75-year history.
