Israelis hit the streets en masse to demand captive deal
The pressure is growing on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the bodies of six captives were found in Gaza.
Tens of thousands of protesters in Tel Aviv are demanding a ceasefire deal to secure the release of the remaining 97 captives held in Gaza.
Families of captives have joined other demonstrators outside Netanyahu’s office in West Jerusalem.
Israel’s Opposition leader Yair Lapid is supporting the call for a general strike.
He is calling for a government shutdown.
The strike is expected to impact Israel’s main airport in Tel Aviv.
