The property’s last assessment put its value at $4 million, and the Oscar-winner quietly purchased the property in 2021 from C. Patrick Oles. Oles owns his own real estate company, and he is also one of the best-known political donors in Texas. Oles and his wife bought the home in 1997, ten years before Stone graced our screens for the first time.

108. Tracy Morgan

Net Worth: $70 million*
Purchased For: $2.2 million*
Sq. Footage: 4,485-Square-Feet

Comedian Tracy Morgan owned a six-bedroom home in Cresskill, New Jersey, and this property was both contemporary and comfortable. Constructed in the eighties, the 4,485-square-foot property sold in 2019 for $1.2 million. That was bad news for the 30 Rock star, as it meant he took a $1 million loss on the home.

The home, which Morgan extensively renovated (meaning his $1 million loss may have been higher) was on the market for a year before it sold. Real estate prices in the area had been steadily declining for a while, so experts were not surprised when news of Morgan’s loss came about.

109. Joseph Gordon Levitt

Net Worth: $35 million*
Purchased For: $3.25 million*
Sq. Footage: 3,771-Square-Feet

Joseph Gordon Levitt, star of movies like Snowden and Don Jon, owned a 1940s ranch house in Los Angeles that was built by well-known architect Arthur W. Hawes. Later, it was renovated by another known architect, Paul Williams. The star actor paid $3.25 million for the 3,771-square-foot home when he purchased it in 2015.

Unfortunately, when he went to sell the home in an off-market deal, he took a loss, as he sold it for $3.08 million. Though the loss is not as bad as it could be, declining housing prices in L.A. (and across America) are making this type of lopsided transaction more common, even for celebrities.

110. Olivia Newton-Johnc

Net Worth: $60 million* (at time of passing)
Purchased For: $4.69 million*
Sq. Footage:4,452-Square-Feet

Olivia Newton-John, sadly, passed away in 2022 at the age of seventy-three after battling with cancer for years. She suffered from a third cancer relapse, and she passed on, leaving behind a singing and acting legacy that will remain for decades to come.

Newton-John leaves behind a colorful home in Santa Barbara, California, full of vibrant artwork, lamps, candles, and more personal touches. Near the Santa Ynez Valley, the Grease star bought the home in 2015 for $4.69 million. Built in 2008, the abode contained four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a total of 4,452 square feet of living space.

111. Ryan Fitzpatrick

Net Worth: $82 million*
Purchased For: $1.8 million*
Sq. Footage: 8,000-Square-Feet

8,000 square feet of living space would cost tens of millions in L.A., but, in Arizona, the price is surprisingly humble. Ryan Fitzpatrick’s massive, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Gilbert, Arizona, is priced at $1.8 million. The NFL quarterback’s home also has a pool, hot tub, and porch.

The community is around forty-five minutes south of Phoenix, Arizona’s largest city. The QB is now retired, and his net worth is around $82 million. Fitzpatrick played seventeen seasons in the NFL, starting as a quarterback for nine different teams, a record in the league.

112. Lauren Conrad

Net Worth: $40 million*
Purchased For: $3.4 million*
Sq. Footage: 5,871-Square-Feet

Former TV star and current designer Lauren Conrad has, as you would expect, a few very stylish West Coast homes. One home, which she sold in 2017, provided breathtaking views of California’s Pacific Palisades, and the TV personality described it as a great place to “step away” from L.A. when she and her husband, Will Tell, are done for the day.

The 5,871-square-foot home has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. Conrad sold the house in 2017 for $4.75 million, flipping the property and earning well over $1 million for it. Celebrities, Conrad among them, often buy and sell houses at the drop of a hat, often supplementing their media income with their portfolios.

113. Matt Bonner

Net Worth: $12 million*
Purchased For: $50,000*
Sq. Footage: 276-Square-Feet

Matt Bonner, a forward for the San Antonio Spurs, stands at 6’10”, but he bought a house that is super-tiny. Literally, the home was featured on Tiny House Nation on FYI, and it measures just 276 square feet. The home was built by Zack Giffin and John Weisbarth, and Bonner has to duck just to walk around the miniature abode.

Tiny House Nation was a series that ran for five seasons from 2014 to 2019, and it detailed the trend of home buyers downsizing to simple, tiny abodes. Bonner took that concept to the extreme, and his tiny house cost him just $50,000.

114. Kate Middleton

Net Worth: $10 million*
Purchased For: $40,000*
Sq. Footage: 1,420-Square-Feet

Though she now lives in a palace, Kate Middleton’s childhood house doesn’t disappoint. Located in Oak Acres, Middleton’s parents, Carole and Mike, bought the two-bedroom house in 1980 for just $40,000. In 1982, they brought Kate home from the hospital, where she grew up in the stately brick home.

Later, as she got older, Middleton moved to an apartment in London that her parents owned. She shared the Chelsea abode with her sister, and the London apartment was worth $1.5-$2 million, far more than the Oak Acres property. In 2011, Middleton’s childhood home was sold to a local schoolteacher in the area named Emma.

115. Rachel Skarsten

Net Worth: $3 million*
Purchased For: $1.4 million*
Sq. Footage: 1,600-Square-Feet

Actress Rachel Skarsten is known for her roles in movies and shows like Batwoman, Birds of Prey, The Royal Nanny, Marry Me At Christmas, Timeless Love, and more. The actress purchased a Laurel Canyon cottage in 2017 for around $1.4 million.

The 1,600-square-foot abode has a celebrity history to it, as it was owned previously by Rene Russo, Kurt Johnstad (the screenwriter of 300 and Atomic Blonde), and Jack Huston. Built back in the 1920s, this cottage sits on a hillside parcel of land, and it has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s the perfect starter home for a young Hollywood star.

116. Cher

Net Worth: $360 million*
Purchased For: $2.5 million*
Sq. Footage: 3,089-Square-Feet

Cher, a legendary singer and actress, owns a lot of real estate around the world, including a home in Beverly Hills. Though it is not her primary residence, this home was, for a while, a comfy retreat for the Sonny & Cher star. The Tudor-style abode had four bedrooms, and it was nestled at the end of a private road.

Cher bought the English-style home in 2013, and she put it on the market years later. Though quaint, the real jewel in Cher’s property empire is her Italian Renaissance mansion in Malibu, as that property is worth $40 million.

117. Marshawn Lynch

Net Worth: $30 million*
Purchased For: $1.1 million*
Sq. Footage: 9,516-Square-Feet

Former NFL star Marshawn Lynch put his waterfront mansion in Oahu, Hawaii on the market recently. The star paid $1.1 million for the beachfront, oceanside property, and he put it up for grabs for $5 million. The home is surrounded by tropics, and the land itself measures well over 9,000 square feet.

Previously, Lynch had lived in a massive mansion in Point Richmond, California, though he listed that abode in 2021. His Hawaii retreat was built in 1960, and it is full of natural lighting. Though not a huge mansion, this home is the perfect place for anyone wanting to get away to the beach.

118. Diane Keaton

Net Worth: $100 million*
Purchased For: $1.5 million*
Sq. Footage: 4,572-Square-Feet

Actress Diane Keaton worked with Stephen Shadley, her longtime friend, and architect, to revitalize a Spanish-style home in Beverly Hills. That is her primary residence, but it is far from the only home owns. The star also has a $1.5 million abode in Barrio Viejo, a neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona.

The Sonoran Row house is best described as “Desert Chic,” and the abode estate was built in the late 1800s. It has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and 4,572 square feet of living space, all decked out in a desert-esque style. The home is an idyllic escape from L.A. and NYC, two cities in which Keaton also owns property.

119. Kiera Knightley

Net Worth: $80 million*
Purchased For: $6 million* (Sale Price)
Sq. Footage: 3,820-Square-Feet

Pirates of the Caribbean and Love Actually star Kiera Knightly lived in a pretty standard NYC apartment for over seven years, even as her Hollywood fame (and net worth) ballooned. The square footage is pretty small for the $6 million price tag, though that’s what you can expect from the city’s crazy real estate prices.

Located in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan, Knightley’s apartment has two floors and 3,820 square feet of living space. It is designed with a modern flare, featuring geometric accents, a wooden staircase, and, of course, a lot of windows to overlook the sprawling city.
