Muhammad Yunus sworn in as head of Bangladesh’s government
Bangladesh’s new leader, Muhammad Yunus, has declared that restoring law and order is his top priority. Yunus’ interim government has assumed control following weeks of violent crackdowns on student-led protests. These widespread demonstrations ultimately led to the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has since fled to India.
