‘No negotiations’ as long as Israeli attack continues: Hamas official
Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan, speaking in Beirut, Lebanon, says no matter how long the “war is going [to] last, we are well prepared”.
Speaking to reporters in Beirut, Hamdan said there will be “no negotiations or a [prisoner] swap” before the Israeli assault comes to an end.
He said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “responsible” for the lives of Israeli captives in Gaza, and said his goals in the enclave are “unattainable”.
“This is not a sign of victory but rather a sign of defeat and the fall of his government,” Hamdan said.
The real objective of Netanyahu and his military is to “eliminate the Palestinian people and … kill the cause,” Hamda added, asserting “This is an impossibility.”
