Northern Ireland power-sharing: Details of deal published by UK government
The UK government has published details of a deal that looks set to restore the power-sharing government, in Northern Ireland. It does away with many of the post-Brexit trade-checks, that Unionists, who want to preserve Northern Ireland’s place in the United Kingdom, opposed. Some longer-term issues remain. But devolved government could return as early as Saturday.
