Pakistan approves $72m for military to combat armed groups after Balochistan attacks

Pakistan’s government has approved $72 million to bolster military efforts against armed groups in the country. This decision follows Monday’s attacks in Balochistan, which prompted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to make the announcement. The army reported that it killed 25 fighters near the Afghan border during operations. The situation remains tense as the government seeks to curb insurgent activities in the region.

Al Jazeera’s Hamza Mohamed reports.
