► ¾ tsp freshly ground black pepper, divided
► 2 tbsp extra-light olive oil, plus more as needed
► ¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter
► ¼ cup dry white wine
► 3 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
► 2 garlic cloves, minced (about 1 tbsp)
► 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or basil leaves, for garnish
