Prehistoric Cave Bridge Discovered In Spain | WION Podcast
The discovery of a prehistoric bridge in a cave in Spain dates back 6,000 years. Recent research highlights early human settlement in the Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza. The study, published in Communications Earth & Environment, analyzed a 25-foot-long bridge structure inside Genovesa Cave. Researchers used mineral formations and coloration bands to determine its age, challenging previous estimates. The findings reveal that humans inhabited the area earlier than once believed. The limestone bridge was first found in 2000 during a scuba-diving expedition.
