Russia’s Putin hails victory in election criticised as illegitimate
Vladimir Putin has declared victory in Russia’s presidential election.
With polling stations now closed and more than two-thirds of ballots counted. Early results show he’s taken at least 87 percent of the vote, in an election that’s been seen as a foregone conclusion.
The third and final day of voting has seen a silent protest staged across Russia.
