South Korean police chief admits failures after Seoul crush




South Korea’s police chief, Yoon Hee-keun apologised on Tuesday for the force’s ‘inadequate’ response to the Seoul crowd crush over the weekend, in which more than 150 people died. ‘We will conduct intensive inspections and investigations quickly and seriously without exception’, Hee-keun said. ‘We will make it especially clear if police responded correctly after the 112 calls reporting the emergencies.’
