The US has called for a ‘global response’ to attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthis in the Red Sea. They’ve disrupted maritime commerce, targeting ships it says are linked to Israel. On Wednesday, the United Nations Security Council debated the ongoing unrest. The US formed a maritime coalition to deter attacks last month.
