Swiss govt freezes Russian assets worth $8.81 Billion in 2023 | World Business Watch
Russians with a Swiss Bank account have been feeling the pinch of Western sanctions since the Ukraine war began last year. The Swiss government has frozen an estimated $8.81 billion in financial assets belonging to Russians in 2023. This is a slight increase from the $8.6 Billion the Swiss government blocked last year after it adopted European Union sanctions.
