The art of resistance: Keeping traditions alive under Israeli oppression

The father of a Palestinian child killed by Israeli forces in occupied East Jerusalem says Israel is imposing restrictions on receiving his body.

13-year-old Rami Hamdan al-Halhuli was shot in the chest while playing with fireworks near a checkpoint close to the Shu’fat refugee camp on Tuesday.

Israeli raids have become more frequent and more intense across the occupied West Bank since Israel’s war on Gaza began last year.

The violence carried out against Palestinians has been happening for decades and Israel’s military occupation is only intensifying.
Palestinians say they’re labelled terrorists — whether they’re unarmed, or they fight back with weapons.
It’s a pattern that undermines their right to resist — something guaranteed under international law.

Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports from the occupied West Bank.
