The operation that started early Wednesday in the occupied West Bank is continuing in the Jenin area
Palestinians there told us that a group of fighters confronted Israeli forces, who chased their car as it headed towards the village of Zababdeh.
One person was hit [by Israeli forces] while inside the car. Locals are not sure how the car [caught on fire], but they believe Israeli forces threw something that may have set it on fire. Then, an Israeli drone hit two more men as they were escaping the car, killing them.
Israel’s military says that they managed to “eliminate” a cell of fighters working against them. This is the main announced goal of their military operation, which is the largest in more than two decades in terms of the number of troops participating and the number of deaths caused.
