HOMEMADE TORTILLA CHIPS RECIPE
(makes 10 tortillas)
Ingredients:
1 cup chickpea flour (120g)
2/3 cup whole wheat flour (80g)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder

In a large bowl, sift the chickpea flour, then add the whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Whisk everything together to combine.

Gradually whisk in the water until you achieve a smooth batter. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes. If the batter feels too thick afterward, stir in 1–2 tablespoons of water to thin it slightly.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with a few drops of olive oil. Scoop 1/4 cup of the batter and pour it into the skillet, using the back of a spoon to spread it into a thin, round tortilla.

Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for 1–2 more minutes, until both sides are lightly golden. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Once the tortillas have cooled slightly, cut each one into triangles. Place the tortilla triangles on a baking sheet, lightly brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Preheat the oven to 360°F (180°C). Bake the tortilla chips for 10–12 minutes, or until crisp and golden.

Allow the chips to cool, then serve them with your favorite dips like guacamole, salsa, or hummus.

Enjoy!
