The Labour leader, Keir Starmer, criticised the government’s approach to taxing non-doms in the UK during prime minister’s questions. Starmer said taxing non-doms would raise £3.6bn which is ‘thrown away because he won’t make them pay their taxes here’. The prime minister responded by saying Labour had 13 years to address the issue yet didn’t, warning that taxing non-doms would cost the treasury
