Turkey’s disappearing lakes: Study says two million hectares of wetland lost
Turkey has lost two million hectares of wetlands in the past 12 years – mostly due to unregulated water use.
The findings in a new study have also highlighted that in the last six decades, most of the country’s lakes have dried up.
