UK prisoner release more inmates sent home early to tackle overcrowding
When riots broke out in the UK earlier this year, Prime Minister Kier Starmer promised those involved would face the full force of the law. But the government had inherited an overcrowded prison system it said was on the point of collapse. It’s solution—to set some of those prisoners free.
