US drought historic low water levels on Mississippi river
In the US, the Mississippi river is drying up for the second year in a row, due to severe drought. It’s dropped to historically low levels, disrupting shipping, and causing saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico to threaten the state drinking water supply.
