US-Mexico border tensions: Political stand-off over migrant crossings
The US Congress is considering a measure that would shut down its southern border with Mexico if the daily average of migrant crossings exceeds five thousand.
That’s well below the current number of crossings as migrants and asylum seekers from Latin America flee to the US.
