Victims of Northern Ireland’s ‘Troubles’ contest amnesty law
The British government’s controversial Troubles legacy bill, which was passed in September, is facing a challenge in the High Court of Belfast.
The law offers a conditional amnesty to those accused of killings during the so-called Troubles era in Northern Ireland between 1968 and 1998.
Victims’ groups argue the bill denies them access to justice.
