Video allegedly shows Israeli soldiers abusing Palestinian prisoners
A shocking footage has emerged from inside Israel’s Sde Teiman detention camp in the Negev desert.
It shows Israeli soldiers abusing Palestinian detainees.
The footage leaked by Israeli Channel 12 shows Israeli soldiers dragging and allegedly sexually abusing a Palestinian prisoner – hiding their actions behind riot shields.
The facility has been in the spotlight in recent weeks, after nine Israeli guards were arrested there.
They had been accused of sexually assaulting a Palestinian prisoner, leading to his hospitalisation.
Israel’s Supreme Court is now examining a request by human rights groups to shut the detention center.
The hearing was interrupted by families of Israeli captives held in Gaza, who are protesting against the potential closure.
Meanwhile in the Israeli Knesset, members debated whether sexual abuse is legitimate when used against members of a Hamas fighter unit
