War on Gaza: Israeli tanks push deep into Rafah
Israeli tanks and troops are pushing deep into Rafah city.
They’re being backed by warplanes and drones helping the advance.
Palestinians say tanks have moved into at least five neighbourhoods overnight.
The latest barrage of Israeli attacks on Gaza has killed at least 30 Palestinians in the southern and central parts of the strip.
Overnight air strikes east of Rafah killed 10 people and injured 30.
Casualties were also reported in Nuseirat refugee camp and al-Mawasi area.
And rising temperatures in overcrowded camps are causing severe outbreaks of disease across Gaza.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says two-thirds of the strip’s water and sanitation facilities have been damaged or destroyed in eight months or Israel’s war.
