Stan Lee will, forever, be known for the enormous role he played in helping to create the Marvel Comic Book Universe. Sadly, in 2018, he passed away, but in the decades before he left this world he gave us dozens of superheroes, off of whom he made a small fortune of $50 million. But not fortune was enough to pull Stan Lee away from his passion for simplicity.

Amongst the properties that Stan Lee owned in his lifetime was an adorable 792-square-foot vacation home on the 22nd floor of San Francisco’s Four Seasons hotel. Although it’s unknown how much he initially paid for the one-bedroom Brazilian cherry hardwood floored suite, we do know, however, that it sold for a modest $1.35 million.

Net Worth: $3 Million*

Long before things in America got Fergalicious, the OG Fergie, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was living it up, in stylish decadence, as a member of the British Royal Family. Following her much-publicized divorce from Prince Andrew, the Duchess briefly moved into her own mansion.

Living in such a large house all by herself didn’t suit Fergie very well, and, although she has a royal fortune of her own, she opted to move back in with the Prince, and live as friends in the, not as large, 30 bedroom home in which they raised their children.

22. Chris Daughtry

Net Worth: $8 Million*
Purchased For: $690,000*
Sq. Footage: 3,782-Square-Feet*

By the time the fifth season of American Idol had finished airing in 2006, there was no denying the fact that Chris Daughtry was going to be a star. This newly found fame, however, was not enough to cause Chris to spend the fortune that he had worked so hard for, on an unnecessarily large house. Instead, he did the opposite.

In 2006, Chris and his wife settled on a 4-bed house with 3.5 bathrooms that cost a little under $700,000. The Daughtry’s 3,782-square-foot home in Oak Ridge, North Carolina, had its own golf course and saltwater swimming pool, however, in 2011, the time finally came when the Daughtry’s 4 children needed rooms of their own, and the musician’s family moved to a larger place.
