Located in Montauk, New York, Julianne Moore recently sold this home for a little under $3 million. The famous actress and her husband parted ways with the cottage six years after it was listed. There’s no denying that the home is charming, and it is located in one of the most scenic areas in all of New York.

The couple purchased the home for a little over $1 million in the late 2000s, but they quickly left the property after they came home to find a drunken, passed-out stranger lying on the couch. The two never returned, instead choosing to buy a gated, far more secure mansion in town.

39. Chace Crawford

Net Worth: $6 million*
Purchased For: $5,100 a month rent*
Sq. Footage: Unknown

Chace Crawford is yet another celeb who lives in an apartment in New York City. He’s come a long way since the Gossip Girl days, but he can’t seem to shake New York. He lived in an apartment that he shared with Ed Westwick, his co-star, and moved to another abode near there.

The actor moved to a far nicer penthouse in the Financial District of New York. Dwell95, the building, is a pricey place to live. The rent costs $5,100 a month, as it is a ritzy, modern unit located in one of the richest areas in NYC.

40. Kirsten Dunst

Net Worth: $25 million*
Purchased For: $3 million*
Sq. Footage: 2,200-Square-Feet

Another apartment-dwelling celeb is Fargo star Kirsten Dunst, who put her SoHo loft on the market in 2017. She bought the loft in 2007 for $3 million, and its location, right between SoHo and Tribeca, was a big reason that she paid so much. The apartment was also beautifully-decorated, and it sold in 2018 for $4.4 million.

The Manhattan penthouse was a mix of industrial and rustic, and it came with two bedrooms. Dunst then plunked down a lot more cash for a huge renovation that added a lot of vintage charm. When she couldn’t sell it, she rented it out for $2,500 a month until a buyer made an offer.
