Net Worth: $25 million*
Purchased For: $1.91 million*
Sq. Footage: 3,600-Square-Feet

Movie star couple Peter Skarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal live in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, known for being both stylish and down to earth. The four-bedroom brownstone cost $1.91 million when the pair bought it in the late 2000s, and it now has a value of around $4.59 million.

Saarsgard said that the home is the perfect place in which to “curl up with a book,” while Gyllenhaal joked that there were “14 million fireplaces.” The 3,600-square-foot home (a lot of space for NYC!) certainly is the picturesque ideal of a cozy city cottage.

97. Bradley Cooper

Net Worth: $100 million*
Purchased For: $13.5 million*
Sq. Footage: 4,000-Square-Feet

In the West Village, home prices are sky-high. 4,000 square feet might be priced way lower in other areas, but, in Manhattan, that’ll cost you $13.5 million. That’s what Bradley Cooper paid for his home in the luxe area of New York City, but he got a lot for that price.

The six-bedroom home has a lot of rustic, romantic details and a 1,100-square-foot garden, which is almost unheard of in the city. Wide-plank pine floors, exposed beams, and silver appliances add charm to this upscale townhouse. Cooper has a net worth of $100 million, but his home is surprisingly normal-looking for someone with that much money.

98. Meghan Markle

Net Worth: $60 million*
Purchased For: $1.75 million*
Sq. Footage: 2,262-Square-Feet

Before Meghan Markle became British tabloid fodder as the Duchess of Sussex, she was a regular actress in L.A. trying to make it. From 2011 to 2013, she rented this four-bedroom, colonial home in Los Angeles. Though not huge, the home was upscale, with marble countertops and sleek silver appliances.

L.A. is known for its beautiful sunny days, and Markle was able to take advantage of that weather with the home’s spacious backyard. The Tudor-style, end-of-the-road home has a famous past, too, as it was once a secondary retreat for superstar singer Cher.

99. Rosie O’Donnell

Net Worth: $120 million*
Purchased For: $4.6 million*
Sq. Footage: 4,112-Square-Feet

Believe it or not, it wasn’t until relatively recently, in 2021, that Rosie O’Donnell purchased a property in Hollywood. She bought her first Hollywood pad, a trendy, modern-esque farmhouse, for $4.6 million. Over the years, the comedienne has bought and sold dozens of homes across the East Coast, and this is her shot at moving West.

The home has just over 4,000 square feet of living space, and it comes equipped with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Though O’Donnell’s real estate investments haven’t always panned out (she lost $2 million in 2021 after two New York properties fell through), this Hollywood purchase has her feeling hopeful.

100. Simon Helberg

Net Worth: $55 million*
Purchased For: $6.9 million*
Sq. Footage:4,000-Square-Feet

Though Big Bang Theory star Simon Helberg would go on to list his Los Feliz home and move to a more lavish pad, the humble, stylish abode was a lot of fun while it lasted. He and his wife, Jocelyn, purchased the property in 2019, paying $6.9 million.

The costs likely ended up being far higher than that, as they underwent extensive renovations to update this century-old house. Three years later, the pair listed the home for $9.875 million, hoping to cash in on the extensive modernizations they made to the two-story, stucco, and terracotta home.

101. Selena Gomez

Net Worth: $85 million*
Purchased For: $4.9 million*
Sq. Footage:11,000-Square-Feet

Selena Gomez shelled out for a wild mansion in L.A. with a colorful history. The Encino, California property cost her $4.9 million, and it was once owned by rocker Tom Petty. The home was custom-made for Petty in 1989, and it measures more than 11,000 square feet (property prices are relatively cheaper in Encino).

The home has ten bathrooms and six bedrooms, and it also has an in-home recording studio, as well as a wine cellar, gym, massage room, and beautiful outdoor pool. Gomez moved in recently, spending her time before that in a relatively smaller, more humble $2.8 million Studio City property.

102. Kyle Lowry

Net Worth: $55 million*
Purchased For: $5.25 million*
Sq. Footage: 9,700-Square-Feet

Kyle Lowry, the breakout superstar of the Toronto Raptors, an NBA team, recently put his mansion in Toronto on the market for $5.3 million. Lowry was in the final year of his contract when he put the mansion up for sale, and this made many fans question his future with the Canadian city.

The six-bedroom, ten-bathroom property is stacked with skylights, open windows, and natural lighting. It also is in one of the most stylish neighborhoods in Toronto, located in North York by Bayview Avenue. Features include an elevator, gourmet kitchen, media room, sauna, and, of course, extensive security.

103. Kim Cattrall

Net Worth: $40 million*
Purchased For: $450,000*
Sq. Footage: 1,232-Square-Feet

When Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall wanted to de-stress from the city, she’d often retire to a beachfront cottage in East Hampton. She bought it in 1998, the year she first appeared on the hit TV show.

The cottage has an asking price of $3.25 million (it is the Hamptons, after all), which means Cattrall, who paid $450,000 for it, stands to make a lot of money on it. Cattrall said that the cottage was her oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, and it was a place where she could “decompress” and have her “privacy.”

104. Quentin Tarantino

Net Worth: $120 million*
Purchased For: $23,000 per month*
Sq. Footage:1,641-Square-Feet

Quentin Tarantino is one of the wealthiest directors alive, having been the brains behind movies like Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, and Inglourious Basterds. He is married to Daniella Pick, an Israeli model, and the two reside in a stylish rental in Tel Aviv, Israel. The rental, which costs Tarantino $23,000 per month, is in Ramat Aviv Gimel, one of the city’s most upscale neighborhoods.

Even for the Old North, this house is pretty spacious. The two-story home is among one of the most expensive rentals in the area, and Tarantino was inspired to live in Israel after visiting and having a “wonderful time.”

105. Nicky Hilton

Net Worth: $40 million*
Purchased For: $2.75 million*
Sq. Footage: 3,500-Square-Feet

Nicky Hilton, socialite, fashion designer, and sister to Paris Hilton, has a few properties, but it is her NoHo abode in New York City that is one of the most interesting. It is full of family heirlooms, such as chairs used by Lord and Lady Rothschild during the coronation of King Edward VII.

The apartment is super-stylish, and it is the home of Hilton and her husband, James Rothschild. The pair also own a stately Georgian mansion in Brookhaven, and they paid $2.75 million for this four-acre property. That home is far different from her penthouse, as it is surrounded by oak and maple woodlands, rather than the hustle and bustle of NYC.

106. Juliette Lewis

Net Worth: $5 million*
Purchased For: $1.5 million*
Sq. Footage: 2,475-Square-Feet

In late 2018, Juliette Lewis, a Hollywood actress who has been a mainstay in the industry for decades, paid a relatively small sum of $1.5 million for a revamped, Spanish villa in the Hollywood Knolls neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills. Recently, she re-listed the modest, charming house for $1.8 million.

The three-bedroom property was built in the 1950s, and it is full of light-filled living space. Lewis has a net worth in the millions, thanks to her career in Hollywood that started in 1987 with Home Fires. Compared to other celebrities’ homes, this Hollywood Knolls abode is quite humble.

107. Emma Stone

Net Worth: $40 million*
Purchased For: $4 million*
Sq. Footage: 5,000-Square-Feet

Cruella star Emma Stone has an expansive property portfolio, and she added to that when she bought a four-bedroom abode in Texas. The 1.2-acre estate contains 5,000 square feet of living space, and Stone bought it from one of Austin’s highest-profile commercial real estate moguls.
